Nose Creek Valley is a park in the centre of Airdrie. It lies north of Calgary and includes the towns of Airdrie, Balzac and Crossfield. The museum features exhibits and artifacts that outline the early way of life in this area. Big Hill Springs Provincial Park is located northwest of Calgary, this park is characterized by its system of small waterfalls, rocky terraces, lush parkland and extensive hiking trails. The park is also a historic fish hatchery.
