In 1991, Lacombe and District Historical Society purchased by the blacksmith shop and restored as a museum. The Lacombe Blacksmtih Shop was designated as a Provincial Historic Resource by the Government of Alberta in 2011.

Admission is free, donations are gratefully accepted.

Open Hours: 11am to 3pm Sundays in July and August.

For private tours and demonstrations please call the historical society at the Flatiron Museum or the Michener House to arrange a tour at least one week in advance.
