The Galt Museum & Archives is a vibrant gathering place that meets historical, cultural and educational needs. The Galt Museum & Archives engages and educates our communities in the human history of southwestern Alberta by preserving and sharing collections, stories and memories that define our collective identity and guide our future.

The Galt Museum collects and preserves artifacts of permanent value to the study of the human history of Lethbridge and southwestern Alberta. Artifacts are collected from and donated by both public and private sources, and are available for viewing to researchers, by appointment.

Hours of Operation

  • Tue–Sat 10–5 pm
  • Sundays 1–5 pm
  • Mondays Closed

Holidays 1–5 pm, except for the following:

  • Christmas Closed
  • Boxing Day Closed
  • New Years Day Closed
  • Easter Sunday Closed
