Medicine Hat is a city in southeast Alberta, Canada. It is approximately 169 km east of Lethbridge and 295 km southeast of Calgary. It is situated on the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1), the eastern terminus of the Crowsnest Highway.

Historically, Medicine Hat has been known for its large natural gas fields. Because of these reserves, the city is known as "The Gas City".

Located in the scenic South Saskatchewan River Valley, Medicine Hat has 2,512 hours of sunshine per year! This makes us one of "Canada’s Sunniest Cities", and an attractive year-round playground.

Medicine Hat city is rich in local history and unique attractions which include the 20-story high Saamis Tepee, the Medicine Hat Clay Industries National Historic District, the state-of-the-art Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre etc.

More than 100 parks and 90 kilometers of walking trails are there in the Medicine Hat city. Also the must-see tourist attractions like Dinosaur Provincial Park, Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park, Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park & the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology are just a short drive away.
