The Camrose and District Centennial Museum, located in Camrose, Alberta, offers visitors a journey through time, showcasing the rich history of the region. Established on July 1, 1967, as part of Canada's centennial celebrations, the museum has become a cherished destination for those interested in exploring the area's heritage.

The museum complex comprises a main gallery and twelve additional buildings, each housing thousands of artifacts that depict various aspects of pioneer life. The main structures are:

  • Pioneer Log House: Built in 1898, this restored home offers insights into the daily lives of early settlers.
  • St. Dunstan's Church: Originally constructed in 1908, this church reflects the spiritual heritage of the community.
  • Likeness School: A one-room schoolhouse from 1906, showcasing the educational environment of the past.
  • Fire Hall: A replica of the 1907 Camrose Fire Hall, highlighting early firefighting efforts.
  • Camrose Canadian Office: A replica of the first newspaper office in Camrose, emphasizing the role of media in the community's development.

The museum operates seasonally from July 1st to mid-September, open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Off-season tours are available by appointment. While there is no admission fee, donations are greatly appreciated to support the museum's ongoing efforts.
