The Maid of the Mist is a boat tour company that has been operating in Niagara Falls, New York, and Niagara Falls, Ontario, since the mid-19th century. The company offers boat tours that take passengers to the base of the American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls, two of the three waterfalls that make up Niagara Falls.

The boats depart from Niagara Reservation State Park at Prospect Point near the Rainbow Bridge, and takes its passengers past the American and Bridal Veil Falls, then into the dense mist of spray inside the curve of the Horseshoe Falls (Canadadian Fallls). The tour is 20 minutes long. A trip to Niagara falls is not complete, without a ride on the Maid of the Mist.

The Maid of the Mist tour is a popular attraction that allows visitors to get up close to the powerful falls, feeling the mist and hearing the roar of the water. The boats used for the tour are specially designed to navigate the strong currents and swirling waters near the falls.

The Maid of the Mist tour is wheelchair accessible, and the boats are equipped with elevators and wheelchair lifts. The Maid of the Mist tour is not recommended for children under the age of 6 or for anyone with heart or respiratory problems. Eventhough the tour provides rain ponchos to help keep passengers dry, but it is better to wear waterproof clothing and shoes.

2023 Maid of the Mist Ticket Prices :
  • Adult Ticket - $28.25
  • Child Ticket - $16.50 (6–12 years)
  • 5 and Under - Free (with accompanying adult)
  • The prices are in U.S. dollars and include the $1.25 per person as the cost of the elevator.

* Maid of the Mist tours run from April to October each year depending on the weather conditions.

Note:
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout our facility, including on board the vessels.
  • The maid of the mist boats departure every 15 minutes during the day.
  • Reservations are not accepted.
  • There are no age restrictions.
  • All the facilities, including the boats, are wheelchair accessible.
  • Eventhough each guest is provided a complimentary hooded rain poncho, you may get wet on the tour. Please dress accordingly.
