Camrose


Camrose County is located about 90 kilometres southeast of Edmonton, the capital of Alberta.

Within the boundaries of the County are the City of Camrose, the Town of Bashaw and the Villages of Bittern Lake, Bawlf, Edberg, Ferintosh, Hay Lakes, and Rosalind as well as the hamlets of Armena, Duhamel, Kelsey, Kingman, Pelican Point, Meeting Creek, New Norway, Ohaton, Round Hill and Tillicum Beach.

The Camrose region is committed to the preservation and protection of natural park areas and a clean and healthy environment.

There are many recreational opportunities in Camrose County. Miquelon Lake Provincial Park at the north end of the County, Tillicum Park adjacent to Dried Meat Lake, Pelican Point Park on the North shore of Buffalo Lake at the southern boundary of the County.

There are numerous campsites within the County. Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy fishing at Buffalo Lake and Dried Meat Lake. In the heart of the County you will find the Nature Conservation Center. There are a number of challenging Golf Courses within Camrose County.

Winter activities include groomed cross country ski trails at Miquelon Provincial Park, numerous snowmobile rallies and outdoor skating throughout the county.
