BIG Little Science Centre
458 Seymour St, Kamloops, BC V2C 2G6, Canada
The BIG Little Science Centre is dedicated to developing a passion for science in our community.
In our three 'hands-on' rooms, there are over 140 stations, where visitors of all ages can 'play' and 'explore'. Our purpose is not primarily to 'fill guests' heads with facts', but rather to arouse curiosity.
A visiting group will spend 15 to 20 minutes in each of the three 'hands-on' rooms, then proceed to one of our three teaching/demonstration rooms. There, they enjoy a 30-minute presentation on one of several topics.
Summer hours include daily hands-on fun in the Exploration Rooms, as well as a Static Electricity Show at 11am and a Science Centre Surprise Show at 1:30pm (usually a show that is a favourite for the afternoon demonstrator). Fall and winter hours (September through June) are Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm with demonstrations only on Saturdays, see the website for demonstration details.
Summer Science Camps, Birthday Parties and Special Events will also be available
The BIG Little Science Centre is Closed Sundays and Holidays.
