The Museum of Anthropology is situated at the University of British Columbia (UBC) campus in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is just 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver and the
Vancouver International Airport.
MOA is a research and teaching museum, where UBC courses in art, anthropology, archaeology, conservation, and museum studies are given. MOA houses 38,000 ethnographic objects, as well
as 535,000 archaeological objects in its building alone.
There are about 6000 textiles in the collection; about half of these come from Asia. There are excellent holdings from the Northwest Coast, Oceania, Africa, and South America.
You may explore the Museum’s Multiversity Galleries where more than 16,000 objects from around the world are displayed.
