Science North

Science North is a popular science centre located in Sudbury, Ontario. It is one of the top science attractions in Canada and offers a fun and educational experience for visitors of all ages. The centre is set beside beautiful Lake Ramsey and features two large snowflake-shaped buildings connected by a tunnel through ancient rock.

Inside Science North, you’ll find hands-on exhibits, live science demonstrations, and interactive displays. Visitors can explore topics such as space, animals, the human body, geology, and technology. One of the highlights is the F. Jean MacLeod Butterfly Gallery, where you can walk among hundreds of colourful butterflies from around the world.

The centre also houses a planetarium and a 3D IMAX theatre, which show science-themed films and star shows. Kids and adults alike enjoy the opportunity to see science in action through experiments and demonstrations led by friendly science staff, also known as "Bluecoats."

Science North is home to live animals like beavers, turtles, snakes, and insects, giving visitors a chance to learn more about local wildlife. There are also seasonal outdoor programs, workshops, and science camps throughout the year.
