The Blacksmith Shop Museum is the oldest operational Blacksmith Shop in Alberta today. It is a museum dedicated to blacksmithing in Lacombe, Alberta, Canada. It is still located on the original site. Much of the original machinery in the blacksmith shop is in operating condition.
Read more »The Flatiron building in Lacombe was built in 1904 and served as the Merchants Bank of Canada until 1922 when it became home to the Bank of Montreal. In 1922, the Merchants Bank of Canada was absorbed by the Bank of Montreal, which changed the fate of many prominent buildings across Canada.
Read more »Located in the heart of central Alberta, Ellis Bird Farm is both a working farm as well as a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of Mountain Bluebirds, Tree Swallows and other native cavity- nesting birds. Drop-in visitors and tour groups are welcome at Ellis Bird Farm during the summer months, when we are open to the public.
