Art Gallery of Ontario

317 Dundas St W, Toronto, ON M5T 1G4, Canada.
The Art Gallery of Ontario is located on Dundas Street in the heart of the city of Toronto. It is one of the largest art museums in North America, with over 90,000 works in its collection and a physical facility of 583,000 square feet. More than 4,000 works from the collection are on public view.
The AGO's collection spans from 100 A.D. to the present. The museum collection includes a number works from Canadian, First Nations, Inuit, African, European, and Oceanic artists. As one of Canada’s most distinguished art museums, the Art Gallery of Ontario organizes and hosts a wide spectrum of major exhibitions.
One of the highlights of the AGO is its beautiful design. The building was redesigned by world-famous architect Frank Gehry, who was born in Toronto. The mix of glass, wood, and modern design makes the gallery a piece of art itself. Visitors can enjoy wide open spaces and natural light as they explore the different exhibits.
In addition to its permanent collection, the AGO hosts temporary exhibitions from leading artists around the world. These changing displays give visitors something new to see every time they come.
